Durability
Our durable labels, designed as high-quality decals, have been thoroughly tested and last for over 30 years in exterior environments without exhibiting degradation. The image on the left shows a new part and, on the right, a part that has experienced 30 years of equivalent exterior weathering. Our asset tags do not craze, shrink, or corrode over time. Additionally, our replacement VIN tags are environmentally friendly.
Chemical Resistance
• Exposure to harsh chemicals (ASTM D5402): Result: Pass for durable labels like asset tags.
• MEK: 25 double-rubs with continuously wetted MEK and sterile gauze: Pass, demonstrating the resilience of high-quality decals.
• Denatured rubbing alcohol: 200 double rubs with continually wetted sterile gauze: Pass, ensuring the durability of replacement VIN tags.
• Naphtha: 200 double rubs with continually wetted sterile gauze: Pass, confirming the strength of VIN tags.
• Other chemicals and cleaners were also tested, but the above represent a good cross-section of data for evaluating the performance of these materials.
Weather Resistance
Accelerated weathering QUV: SAE J2020 w/ QUV313 lamps (more aggressive than 340 standard lamps): 4,000 hour result: Pass (30-year equivalent). This test is crucial for ensuring the durability of asset tags, durable labels, and high-quality decals, including Replacement VIN tags and VIN tags, which need to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
Adhesive strength
Our durable labels provide up to 10 LBF of peel strength even without the use of a primer, making them ideal for high-quality decals and asset tags, including replacement VIN tags and VIN tags.
